Living a comfortable, pain-free life is not a luxury; it is something that everyone deserves. If you’re living with TMJ, TMD, migraine or headache pain, you may not be living your life to the fullest. At Hunt Valley Dental, Thomas W. Rhodes, DMD and our team provide headache relief without depending on drug therapy. Through the TruDenta® pain relief system, you can be in control of your healing process and live the life you’ve always wanted – one free of pain. We believe our patients deserve the best care, and it’s precisely this commitment to the highest quality that sets us apart. Our philosophy is focused on patient-centered care, and it’s what you can expect to experience every time you come to our office.

Lasting Relief of Your Pain

Headaches, migraines, clenching, grinding, broken teeth and other symptoms are often the result of unbalanced forces within the mouth, head, neck, and jaw. These forces can also be the cause of tinnitus (ringing of the ears) and vertigo. TruDenta is a revolutionary system designed to diagnose and treat these symptoms. Through a series of painless tests, we can help discover the source of your pain and prescribe a personalized program of therapy and rehabilitation designed to lead to lasting resolution of your migraine and headache pain.

We also understand the effects that TMJ/TMD, sleep apnea, and snoring can have on your quality of life. Dr. Rhodes has experience in treating abnormal force-related symptoms that may be causing these issues.

Our team has a wealth of knowledge and years of experience and has been handpicked because they are at the top of their field. We strive to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry by taking many hours of continuing education courses each year. When you receive treatment at North Baltimore Headache Center, you can be sure it meets the highest standards.

Please feel free to contact our Hunt Valley office to schedule an appointment. It’s time to take control of your life, your health, and your happiness. Call today!

TruDenta Headache Treatments - Hunt Valley Dental

As a TruDenta dental practice, we can treat headache and jaw pain symptoms, including:

Age and wear

As the body ages, so does the bite. Natural teeth wear at different rates from years of dental work. For example, fillings and crowns can be made from amalgam, precious metals, ceramics, or other materials. The different materials within your mouth wear at different rates and can cause improper alignment of the teeth, forcing the muscles and tendons to work harder to compensate for any imbalances. As we age, joints and cartilage are reduced in thickness. This changes angles and forces within the overall dentomandibular region. As you grow older, your teeth and bite change, potentially causing many of the headache and jaw pain symptoms that can be treated by our TruDenta trained practice.

Head, neck, or body trauma

Vehicle accidents, sporting activities, or even your baby bumping his or her head against yours could cause force-related symptoms in the head, neck, and jaw. The list of events that can cause head trauma is long. Current symptoms may have been created years ago by an event long since forgotten or dismissed as minor. Head, neck, or jaw trauma could cause stretching or tearing of the ligaments and muscles along with other unseen or undiagnosed dental force imbalances and impairment.

Dental repair and orthodontics

Symptoms may also develop due to poor adaptation to completed dental work, aged restorative materials, and, in some cases, poor adaptation of the patient to orthodontic changes. Wisdom teeth extraction can also be a potential source of dental force related symptoms.

Stress, diet, posture, and frequent computer use

If you lead a stress-free life, congratulations! You are less likely to experience dental force-related symptoms in your head, neck, and jaw. For the other 99% of the world, stress and poor posture (such as from sitting in front of a computer for hours, or long commutes) can result in many of the symptoms listed above. Weight gain and improper eating habits can also contribute to head, neck, and jaw pain.

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, contact our office today to schedule a painless evaluation and examination using our patented TruDenta diagnostic technologies.
